There are a total of 457 posts in the UPSC Combined Defense Services examination in the year 2024. Appointment will be made, in this examination, first the candidates have to pass the written exam, after that they have to pass the interview and finally the medical test is taken, after which Candidates are finally selected. This examination is taken twice every year, through which candidates are selected in various Indian academies including the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer Training Academy.
